John De Menezes Better known as the DJ SUPREME.

I Started my Dj career at the age of 12 , collecting vinyl’s (records).

Saving up all my pocket money and buying records at Ragtime Records in the Golden Acre Cape Town.

I started mixing using 2 hi fi’s with a tape deck.

I then started doing mobile functions playing at primary and high school Discos in the early 80s.

My first club I played as a Resident dj was Nu Rithmix in Millpark Center Milnerton at the age of 15.

At the age of 16 I landed a major residency at Club Trammps in Greenpoint Cape Town.

I then continued to rock the big clubs in and around Cape Town.

Namely, Top Floor ,Club Vogue ,Cloud 9 ,Club Zodiac , Club Strawbs , Henry J Beans (goodwood) ,Café Atlantico , Café Comic Strip , Crow Bar , George Pub ,Castle City ,Bass Line ,Café Tequila (Durbanville and Woodstock) ,Hooters  ,Bamundo Lounge , The Studio & Babaloose. To name a few.

Owned a Record store in Cape Town, Partnership in two nightclubs.

Won the South African Technics DMC Championships in 1997. Represented South Africa in Rimini Italy for the DMC World DJ Championships.

Did live mixes for Good Hope Fm on the Lee Downs show 1995 / 1997.

Was invited as a Guest Dj to play over in Mauriius 2004.

Joined One Fm in 2016 to present the Friday 80s Rewind Show and the Sunday Play back from Way back.
